ABOUT ASTON MARTIN

The history of Aston Martin goes back to 1913, when the company was founded by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. The name "Aston Martin" goes back to the racing driver Lionel Martin and the racetrack manufacturer Aston Hill, where Martin drove his first races.

In the 1920s, Aston Martin gained international recognition for its participation in car races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the following decades, the company developed several successful models such as the DB2, the DB4 and the DB5, which became known worldwide for its role in the James Bond film "Goldfinger".

In the 1970s, Aston Martin ran into financial difficulties and changed hands several times. In the 1990s, the company was finally taken over by Ford and modernized. Under the leadership of CEO Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin became an independent brand in the 2000s and presented successful models such as the Vantage, the DB9 and the Vanquish.

Today, Aston Martin is one of the most prestigious British car brands, producing a range of luxury sports cars and grand tourers that are sought after around the world. The company also has a strong focus on sustainability and plans to be CO2 neutral by 2030. With a rich history and a clear view of the future, Aston Martin remains a force to be reckoned with in the world of luxury motoring.
