Bentley Motors is a British car brand known for its luxurious and powerful cars. The history of Bentley began in 1919, when Walter Owen Bentley and his brother Horace Millner Bentley founded Bentley Motors Limited.

 

The first car produced by Bentley was the Bentley 3 Litre in 1921. This model was known for its high performance and elegant aesthetics and was appreciated by renowned personalities such as the writer P.G. Wodehouse and the actor Douglas Fairbanks.

In the 1920s, Bentley was very successful in racing, winning the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans race four times in a row. This success helped establish the Bentley brand as a symbol of luxury and performance.

In the 1930s, Bentley ran into financial difficulties due to the Great Depression and was eventually taken over by Rolls-Royce. Under the leadership of Rolls-Royce, Bentley models were further developed and maintained their reputation for luxury and performance.
