ABOUT AMG
AMG, the high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz, has a rich history that began in the 1960s. It all started when Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, former Mercedes-Benz engineers, founded a workshop in Burgstall, Germany. Their mission was to develop race engines for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

In 1971, the duo established AMG as a separate company, and it soon gained recognition as a leading tuner for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. AMG's success continued in the 1980s when the company began developing racing cars for the German Touring Car Championship, winning several championships.

In 1990, Daimler-Benz acquired a majority stake in AMG, and it became a subsidiary of the corporation. The move allowed AMG to expand its offerings to a broader range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including SUVs and sedans, and introduce its signature high-performance line.

Today, AMG is a global brand with a strong presence in the luxury car market. Its lineup includes some of the most desirable and powerful vehicles on the market, such as the AMG GT, G-Class, and S-Class. The brand continues to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible, making it a favorite among enthusiasts and casual drivers alike.
