Race weekend at Paul Ricard & interview with racing driver Sacha Clavadetscher

The 1st race is coming!

As communicated in our Press Release earlier in November 2022 - Supercar Sharing® partners with the racing driver Sacha Clavadetscher in cooperation with the French ANS Motorsport Team and are excited to be part of the important Ultimate Cup Series race at Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend 24-26, March 2023.

Shortly About the Ultimate Cup Series

The Ultimate Cup Series is a European championship that brings together the elite of motorsport, from GT to Single Seater, P3 Proto and CN categories, to ensure exceptional fielding in both Sprint and Endurance formats.

Supported by French manufacturer Michelin, the aim is to offer competitors the opportunity to race on the highest standards, to give them a full experience of motor racing and to prepare them for the biggest international championships (ELMS, WEC, etc.).

Interview with Sacha Clavadetscher

We interviewed Sacha a few days ago and asked him how he prepared for the season and this famous racetrack:

1) How did you spend the winter break?

During the big break I improved physically in the gym and trained the routes on the simulator. In February instead of skiing I spent a week at "filière Endurance" based in Le Mans where we were trained in the simulator and theory such as nutrition, race strategy, aerodynamics etc. combined with daily sport. At home I go to the fitness 3-4 times a week and prepare the races on the simulator.

2) How did you prepare for this weekend's important race?

I rode the simulator a lot on this track and watched videos of the best times to analyze what I can do better this year.

3) What does it mean to you personally to compete at Circuit Paul Ricard?

Paul Ricard is one of the most famous tracks in Europe on which Formula 1 has also raced (track record by Lewis Hamilton in 2019). So, I am very happy that I can drive on such a track. For me, Paul Ricard also has a special meaning because I stood on the podium there for the first-time last November.

4) How satisfied are you with the car?

I am also very happy with the race car, it is only 600kg with 280p hp. It is extremely aerodynamic with a lot of downforce, so high speeds can be achieved especially in fast corners. For comparison the lap times here are about 10sec faster than a Porsche GT3 (street version with semislicks) despite more top speed.

5) What are your goals for this year?

My goal for this year is to win the Ultimate Cup Championship in my category!

During the season we will provide you with further updates. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for live feeds from the races.
